Workday Implementation

About Workday Implementation

The DTI includes a multi-year implementation of Workday software that will update our campus Human Capital Management and Finance systems to meet the unique and evolving needs of higher education.

Workday modernizes experiences and streamlines operations to scale for the future while keeping students at the center, all while enabling you to connect across teams and centralize systems.

As someone who manages employees or budgets, you can look forward to easy-to-use tools that will enhance your experience no matter what device you're using. Through Workday, you’ll receive simplified, instant access to data.  Long-term, Workday will offer more automation, reducing your manual effort so that you can spend more time on mission-focused work.

Replacing outdated Finance and HCM systems with Workday will support Pillar IV of the Strategic Plan by enabling improved financial planning, budgeting, payroll, and employee lifecycle management.

Campus Benefits

Our goal with the Workday transition is to make your everyday tasks clearer, faster, and more connected across Loyola. Depending on your role, you’ll see a variety of improvements to your experience.

Staff and student workers: Updating information, accessing pay details, requesting time off, and completing tasks from mobile devices — without relying on multiple systems — will now be completed on a modern, intuitive interface.

Faculty and Academic Administrators: Expect less administrative complexity and clearer workflows for approvals, hiring student workers, managing grants, and accessing data.

HR teams: Look forward to less time spent tracking duplicate data and managing manual processes and instead experience simplified hiring, onboarding, position management, and record-keeping.

Finance teams: You will experience more consistent processes and fewer reconciliations for procurement, real-time visibility into budgets and spending — allowing for better forecasting and stewardship.
